About Terry

Terry’s coaching and business consulting expertise comes from her experiences as a practicing leader and her commitment to professional development and personal growth

Terry grew up and completed her college degree in the Philippines, then immigrated to the USA in her early 20s. She started her career in corporate finance at the American Express Company in New York, moving on to New Jersey and rising to a Principal at Kwasha Lipton, then Division CFO at Bellcore (now Telcordia).  She successfully transitioned from corporate to not-for profit by taking the role of COO at the Ethical Culture Fieldston School (ECFS), then as Senior Associate Dean for Finance and Administration at the University of Virginia’s Darden Graduate School of Business.  Most recently, she held the position of Chief Operating Officer at the Museum of Contemporary Art (MCA) in Chicago. In addition to her distinguished track record as an organizational leader, Terry is known for her project management expertise, running mergers and acquisitions deals at Bellcore and two acclaimed major construction renovations at ECFS and the MCA.

Terry held adjunct faculty appointments with the Darden Business School, the Federal Executive Institute, the Piedmont Virginia Community College and the Kellogg School of Management.

Terry is a CPA, holds an MBA from New York University’s Stern School of Business, and is a Certified Coach with the International Coaching Federation.

Now dividing her time between the US and the Philippines, Terry is focused on TSDCoach, with clients who seek purpose and direction in their careers and lives. Her community work is dedicated to access, inclusion and equity through financial literacy and the education of underserved youth. In 2019, Terry and her husband, Allen, co-founded the charitable organization, Unlad, to provide youth with access to educational opportunities that would otherwise not be within their reach.
